I was born for this job. After all it was in my blood. My father was a local historian and historic site manager at Wormsloe Historic site. He was really more than that, both of my parents were. They lived and breathed the history and the success of the site. They are the reason that I grew up under the age old oaks that held the secrets of time past. My mother worked with horses so I spent all of my free time cleaning stalls, feeding horses, and riding. I could be at the barn for eight hours and still have one more horse to say hello to before we left.
Years would pass and like those trees I grew my roots. Well over a decade ago I became a tour guide. It felt natural. The Savannah carriage tour is so much more than just the history. It’s about sharing my hometown, our history, and my love for horses with everyone I meet. Our hometown company has a staff made up of family and friends whose talents all showcase a love for history, horses, and hospitality.
